Roberts Playground Play Area is located at 56 Dunbar Avenue, Boston, MA 02124, and is set to undergo renovations in the summer of 2016. The portions of the park to be renovated are the playground, pathways, Washington Street entry, and the basketball/tennis courts. The Boston Parks and Recreation Department is interested in hearing from community members to help us in determining how the playground will look and feel in the future. We have prepared this brief online survey to assist us in gathering information as to what the community would like to see. This survey will be available until Friday, January 8th at 5:00 p.m.
The playground renovations are being funded by the City of Boston Capital Improvement Fund and a Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities (PARC) Grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Additionally, the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Services invites the public to a meeting to discuss the improvements. This meeting will be held at the Lee Academy Pilot School Cafeteria, located at 24 Dunbar Avenue, Dorchester, Boston, MA 02124 on Monday, January 25th at 6:30 p.m. If there is inclement weather, a make up date will be identified.
We are very interested in what the community has to contribute to the design process. Following a brief presentation, community members will be able to offer input regarding the material presented and the design process.
Please share this survey with anyone that might be interested in the project and for more information, please call Cathy Baker-Eclipse at (617) 961-3058.
